PASSIONfruit: Portable Community Museum

Tubbut's artist-in-residence Samara McIlroy has hit the road with PASSIONfruit - Portable Community Museum.

Samara is one of the key inspirations behind the (f)route project.

She is working in the Deddick Valley - based in Tubbut.  (but she is on loan to the Swifts Creek community today doing Digital Storytelling) (travelling miiiiles through our glorious east gippsland countryside to be there. - thanks Sam).

You can see some of her Museum Collection here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150947762229046.538281.816929045&type=1

AND (fyi) IN MAY 2012 ...

Samara will be presenting her project at the (f)route 'symposium' (hmmm (f)route salad?)  in Lakes Entrance - in MAY (21-25, dates  tbc SOON).

With Chaco Kato (who has been the artist in residence in Swifts Creek).  http://www.thecraftblog.org.au/chaco-kato-at-froute/

and (we hope) Georgia Snowball - who workshopped (f)route in Goongerah during the Such is Life punk festival  - and is soon to hit the beach at Mallacoota.(28/29 April).

All explored/poked/prodded/explained/expanded/articulated/questioned/embraced/supported  by special guest  - Makeshift man - Karl Khoe - http://www.makeshift.com.au/

Hope we get lots of people coming to hear all about it. Details soon.

PS! - all thanks to Regional Arts Victoria, the Regional Arts Fund, Arts Victoria/Castanet - and even a little bit of the Australia Council.
