WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
(f)route is a social enterprise developing, packaging and marketing a TRAIL of foraged FRUIT, slow
ART, GOOD food, BESPOKE accommodation and wild-ish experiences in East Gippsland.
Designed and created to focus us all on niche tourism markets – the (f)route
team is ready to hit the road - to connect the (f)route BRAND with local businesses and new ideas.
After three years of community breakfasts, business
planning, and report writing, (f)route is now supported by Regional Development
Victoria to find, package - and sell - a series of (f)route tours and itineraries to the
responsible & cultural tourism
‘niche’.
(f)route is calling for expressions of interest from creative entrepreneurs, local producers, makers,
fruit growers, workshop leaders, community/kitchen gardens, sustainability leaders,
story tellers, tour leaders, niche gourmet suppliers, and unique accommodation
providers – established or emerging -
that could become part of the (f)route experience.
“If this sounds like you, we need to meet, put you ‘on the
(f)route Map’, and then sell you to the world – online, in print, and at our
new CBD Travel Bureau – (f)routeLAND."
Initially (f)route Inc. will be partnering with existing operators to offer (f)route-branded experiences to its growing
audience.
Phase 2 will see the organisation developing its own (f)route TOURS
and (f)route CAMPS as a social enterprise – which means employing local
operators, using local produce, and reinvesting all profits back to the local community.
The (f)route team will be travelling across the region
throughout November to meet individuals, businesses and organisations willing to collaborate to deliver an agreed
philosophy of service, creativity and sustainability – and thus offer a unique
travel experience under the (f)route brand.
Contact Andrea Lane or Neil Smith to find out how to
register your interest and make a date.
‘(f)route has worked long and hard across most communities
in East Gippsland, to create a brand that captures a younger, creative,
vibrant, environmentally friendly voice. We believe we potentially have a tourism product
that is being sought by well-educated, experience-seeking travellers who
want to know more about authentic local culture and to actively participate in
creating and documenting their journey.
(f)route’s role is to develop both the
product offering - and the appropriate audience for this niche experience.
